Former trades business owner. Small Business bookkeeper since 2011. Based in the Ohio Valley.
THE STORY
I ran a trade business in rural Ohio for over 20 years. Two employees to thirty-plus. Real payroll, real equipment costs, real subcontractors — and a QuickBooks file I set up myself on a dial-up connection and promptly got wrong. I made every mistake you've probably made. And I learned how to fix every one of them.
When the business sold and I started 740 Accounting & Bookkeeping in 2011, I knew exactly who I was building it for. The Ohio Valley business owner who's great at the work and overwhelmed by the office. The one whose books don't reflect what they've actually built. That's you. And that's exactly why I do this.
"Every mess I see in a client's books, I've dealt with in my career. I know what it looks like. I know what it feels like. And I know exactly how to fix it."

When we say we'll do something, it gets done. Books close on time, calls get returned, nothing falls through the cracks.

You're letting us into the most sensitive part of your business. We're honest about what we find, transparent about what things cost, and we never share what we see.

However your books got to where they are, we're not here to make you feel bad. We're here to fix it. No lectures. Just work.

We don't cut corners. When we clean up a file, it's actually clean. When we train your admin, they actually know what they're doing.
